QUALIFICATIONS

L. Ried Schott, President of Schott Consulting Services, acquired a diverse background in commercial real estate and held several executive positions before establishing his firm in 1993. He has been a real estate appraiser, a market analyst, a review appraiser, a real estate broker, a commercial lender, a consultant,  a research director specializing in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), a columnist for a monthly GIS magazine and a web designer for real estate firms. He has qualified as an expert witness in Eminent Domain proceedings in both state and Federal courts. Over the last decade, he has also been active in property and construction management. His employers have included a Transportation Department, a national appraisal and research firm that was a division of a large bank, an international multidisciplined appraisal firm, an international real estate developer and brokerage company, an investment banking firm and a pension fund advisor. Presently he is a Director for AOF-Pacific, a non-profit housing corporation. These firms have been located in Atlanta, Chicago, New York City and Los Angeles.

 

His education included studies in liberal arts, undergraduate business studies leading to a B.S.B.A. degree, graduate business studies and extension courses in real estate financing and in financial planning. Early in his career he completed various courses required by three appraisal organizations and passed examinations to become accredited in each. In addition, he satisfies continuation education requirements for a real estate sales license and an appraisal certification.
